Punravritti Privacy Policy

Punravritti is an educational learning application operated by Rahul Singh in his personal capacity, based in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India.

Punravritti helps learners upload study material, process scanned or digital content, generate quizzes and worksheets, attempt quizzes, review results and maintain learning history.

Punravritti may collect information you provide when creating and using your account, including your name, email address, class, educational board, preferred language, age band and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form rather than as readable passwords.

For users under 18, we may also collect a parent or guardian email address and information related to parent or guardian approval.

When you use learning features, we may process study material that you choose to upload or scan, including PDFs and images, OCR-extracted text, generated quizzes and worksheets, answers, scores, quiz attempts, saved quizzes, learning history and feedback that you voluntarily submit.

The mobile application may use the camera or file picker when you choose to scan or upload study material. Punravritti does not require continuous camera access.

We also maintain authentication and session information needed to keep accounts secure and signed in.

We use personal data only for purposes connected with providing and improving Punravritti, including account creation, email verification, parent or guardian approval, learning-content processing, quiz and worksheet generation, learning history, password recovery, security, support, feedback and prevention of misuse.

Punravritti uses artificial intelligence to generate quizzes, worksheets, explanations and related learning assistance.

Relevant portions of OCR-extracted study material may be sent to hosted AI service providers for processing. During the current trial phase, this may include NVIDIA-provided AI model services.

The AI service provider used by Punravritti may change as the product develops. If our data-processing practices materially change, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

Users should avoid uploading unnecessary personal, confidential or sensitive information in study material.

Punravritti may use third-party service providers where necessary to operate the service, including hosting and infrastructure providers, email-delivery services and AI-processing providers.

Such providers receive information only to the extent necessary to provide their respective services.

Punravritti does not sell personal data and currently does not use personal data for third-party advertising.

Punravritti is intended to support learners, including school students.

Users are asked to select an age band during account creation. For users under 18, Punravritti currently requires a parent or guardian email address and parent or guardian approval before the student account may be used.

The current trial version uses email-based parent approval. Punravritti may introduce additional parent or guardian identity and age-verification measures as required by applicable law.

Punravritti uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data. These include password hashing, authenticated sessions, access controls, server-side ownership checks, restricted access to uploaded files and secure production configuration.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Account information and learning data are retained while necessary to provide the Punravritti service and maintain the user's account.

Users may permanently delete their account using the in-app Delete Account option or Punravritti's public account-deletion page.

When account deletion is completed, the active account, uploaded study material, quizzes, attempts, learning history, feedback and associated account information are deleted from Punravritti's active systems.

Limited technical, security or compliance records may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or other requirements permitted or required by applicable law.

Users can delete their Punravritti account from the Profile section of the application or through the public Delete Account page.

Account deletion is permanent. Deleted learning data cannot be restored.

After deletion, the same email address may be used to create a new Punravritti account, but the new account will not recover previously deleted information.

You may contact Punravritti regarding access, correction, deletion, consent-related questions or other privacy concerns that may apply under law.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.

We aim to acknowledge privacy and grievance requests promptly and normally respond within 30 days. Where applicable law specifies another period, requests will be handled within the legally required period.

Punravritti may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops, including when new functionality, payment systems, service providers or legal requirements are introduced.

Material changes will be reflected through a revised policy version and effective date.
